Origin
Kettenpost is based on the idea behind mastothread by Ralf Stockmann, released under the MIT license. Kettenpost's design, code, and text were built entirely from scratch and have no further connection to the original project.
AI Transparency
I don't write this code and these texts alone. For a while now I've been working closely with AI language models — currently mainly Claude by Anthropic — both for programming and for writing text. To me it feels like a mind expander: ideas I could previously only sketch out roughly, I can now actually think through and build. Kettenpost is a good example — the idea comes from Ralf Stockmann's mastothread, but the design, code, and website text were built completely from scratch in close collaboration with Claude. I've read, understood, and approved every line myself. I think that deserves to be said openly, not hidden.
There is currently no legal obligation to this kind of openness for a private project like this — this is my own, voluntary stance. If you want to look into the legal background yourself: the European Commission explains the transparency obligations for AI content in German and English.
